Ni Putu Bunga Levista Briliani

As a student majoring International Relations, Ni Putu Bunga Levista Briliani devotes most of her time learning about governments, policy-making and politics in general. Raised in a family with a political background, she has grown accustomed to the field from such an early age. As her Mother would often joke, politics is the side dish during dinner. With deep interests in crisis-management and conflict-resolution, she hopes to pursue a career one day as a spin-doctor and or a professional fixer.

Aside from academic world, this espresso aficionado has an extensive experience in dealing with the public’s eyes. Throughout her junior and high school career, she had been appointed as the spokesperson of several youth groups including the Marching Band Suara Smansa Manggala Dara, the varsity marching band squad of SMA Negeri 1 Denpasar. In recent times, she has been maintaining quite a strenuous schedule as the PR person of the International Relations Students Union of Universitas Airlangga for two consecutive years, while at the same time also authorising and handling public matters as the Head of the Public Relations Division in the latest IR-FEST.

To loosen up her nerves, Bunga watches and reads what catches her fancy. The House of Cards, Madam Secretary, Scandal and The Newsroom were the most recent shows to be added on her binge-watched list. Lately, I Am Pilgrim—a book about a US covert agent—has had her at the edge of her seat.

Although her involvement in Model UN has just been brief, she shows her quality as a keen learner through her participation in five Model UN-related events in a time span of only ten months. Last July, Bunga attended the 2014 Asia Pacific Model UN Conference in Brisbane, Australia. She was placed in the UNICEF committee with many other delegates to come up with overarching ideas to ensure the psychiatric health of children following terrorist attacks and major disasters.

Known among her friends and colleagues as a hard-worker with driven will-power, Bunga continues to broaden her knowledge about her two favourite things in the world—diplomacy and politics—through Harvard National Model United Nations.

Adelia Yulma Budiarto

Akuntansi 2013

Born in Surabaya, 25th of July 1997, Adelia Yulma Budiarto, known as Della, is an undergraduate student of Economics and Business Faculty Universitas Airlangga, majoring in Accounting-English Class batch 2013. She is the head of division of Human Relation External Department of Himpunan Mahasiswa Akuntansi Universitas Airlangga 2015 and the young fellow of Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia. She is also joined many committees to work any program of her organization, she had been a leader of organizing committee of funding section, treasurer, and also chair of projects.

As an alumnus of acceleration program student while in Junior High School and Senior High School, she accepted in Universitas Airlangga at sixteen years old, two years younger than her friends in 2013batch. She is enthusiastic with new knowledge and a quick learner, even when in High School she was on science major, her cumulative GPA in Accounting is 3.93, almost perfect. Swimming, listening to music, reading, watching movies and traveling are her hobbies, which keep her motivated, regarding her study.

As a future accountants, Della try to compete herself by join some competition, she take part of many competition in many aspects since elementary school. While in high school, she started her debate life in Senior High School by joining Global Linguistic Association of Smala, and she has been the third winner of Scientific Writing Competition by Sociology Department, Faculty of Social and Politic Universitas Brawijaya in 2013. Her last competition is Global Youth Debate by Accounting Department, Economics and Business Faculty Universitas Airlangga, and she got the second winner of this debate competition.

She strongly believes that Harvard National Model United Nations is a great opportunity for delegates, even for newbie, to share their ideas and opinions, to open their eyes, ear, and mouth to discuss the greatest challenge facing the world today.

Adriana Marzhella Rondonuwu

Adriana Marzhella Rondonuwu but she goes simply by Adriana. She is a freshman in International Relations in Universitas Airlangga. She is quite active in campus activity. Currently, she is a part of Universitas Airlangga’s delegation for Asia Pacific Model United Nations Conference 2014, a member of International Relations Student Union External Division 2014-2015, the member of Best Buddy Program and the treasury of IR FEST 2014. She has persistence and determination to achieve her goals and busy schedule is one of her way to fill her college experience.

Speech and debate were two of her extracurricular in high school. After graduating high school, she decided to be Model United Nations nerd. She joined Airlangga Model United Nations, HIPHORIA Model United Nations in Gadjah Mada University and Asia Pacific Model United Nations. Her experience in MUN might be brief, but she is eager to learn more about international issues. Aiming to work in either Foreign Ministry or international organization keeps her motivated to dedicate her college experience being MUN nerds. Her dedication to MUN goes beyond eagerness to learn but, her attention to details is remarkable. She has been called energetic, perfectionist, and a go-getter.

In her free time, Adriana watches Jamie Oliver work magic in his cooking shows, and tries to emulate his culinary wizardry in her own kitchen. She hopes to take her passion for cooking around the world and reacquaint herself with the marvelous architecture and cuisine of Istanbul. When not busy cooking a storm in her kitchen, she entertains herself with popular fiction novels to the sound of Paloma Faith’s music.

Amrina Rosyada

Pendidikan Dokter 2013

Amrina Rosyada, also known as Ocha, is a first year undergraduate student of Medicine Faculty at Universitas Airlangga. Although she wants to be a great doctor, she also puts a huge interest in debate since she was high school. During her past, she had numerous achievements in English speech and debate competitions.

Ocha is currently an active student in her faculty. She is also an active member in Center for Indonesia Medical Student’s Activities (CIMSA), especially in Standing Committee On Research Exchange (SCORE) as the Vice NORE for External Affairs and Vice LORE of Universitas Airlangga. She manages to put a balance on her student and activist life. She loves challenges and highly motivated to become a better person day by day.

Although Ocha is a newbie in Model United Nations, but she eagers to achieve more and already proven herself to be chosen as one of the representatives of Universitas Airlangga for Harvard National Model United Nations 2015 (HNMUN 2015). She believes by joining this event, she will able to get more experiences, train herself to work in team, and improve her problem-solving skill. She cannot wait for the event and has a willing to do her best in HNMUN 2015.

Austra Radityakanigara Basuki

Austra Radityakanigara Basuki, well known as Austra, is currently in his second year studying in the Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Airlangga, majoring International Relations. He was born in Sydney, Australia, on January 27, 1995. That’s why he was named Austra. He moved back with his family to Indonesia when he was one year old, and started to live like other Indonesian kids.

Before being accepted in Universitas Airlangga, Austra studied in SMAN 15 Surabaya. At that school, he was selected as one of the delegates of BRIDGE Student Exchange Program for representing his school to Darwin, Australia. BRIDGE is a kind of sister school organization to facilitate the exchanging student between two schools. That program has opened his mind to always explore something outside his world. After graduated, he was first introduced to Model United Nations in the late of 2013. Then Austra was awarded as the Best Press on Youth Model United Nations 2014. For him, MUN will be definitely helping his future carrier as a diplomat.

Austra loves doing sports. Playing basketball, playing football, and swimming are his hobbies. He assumes that student-athlete program will be fun. For now, he is a member of basketball team in his faculty and department. Traveling is another hobby of his. He loves visiting new places. Whether it is a good place or not, it doesn’t matter because he is looking for the experience. He thinks that it is necessary to make a balance between studying and playing, so both right brain and left brain can work properly and optimal.

Eventhough Austra doesn’t have any debate background, but he believes with joining this HNMUN representing Universitas Airlangga will give him unforgettable and irreplaceable experiences to make his better future.

Halmar Said Abdul Basir Polanunu

Ilmu Politik 2012

Halmar is a second year student of Universitas Airlangga majoring in Political Science. Halmar is currently participating in Student Executive Board as a staff. He also have been participating in various academic and non-academic activities.

He has a deep passion to become diplomat and politician in the near future. Halmar actively promoting political awareness by actively participate in social activities in UNAIR such as the Rock The Vote event. There he participate as one of the speaker or mentors. The “miss-conception” of general people about politics needs to be changed, and by participating in social activities he hopes that “false paradigm” can be changed.

His passion for social activities doesn’t end there, he also like to discuss international and national issue. Halmar also has passion with those topics because, he thinks both scope have a relation on how to identify problems and also how to find the best solution. Even though sometimes the best solution can’t fulfill every side expectation.

Halmar wants to know more and is ready to learn everything that can be learn from Model United Nation in order to fulfill his dreams. He sees Harvard Model United Nations as the best path to do it.

Inggrid Ayusari Asali

Pendidikan Dokter 2013

Came from a faraway city, Ambon, Inggrid is currently a sophomore in the Medical Faculty of Airlangga University. Her achievements are not only oriented on academic, but non-academic as well.

Her love for public speaking and critical thinking lead her to be the president of her high school’s debate club and also being the best speaker that she finally represented Maluku province in National Debating school Championship  (NSDC) 2012. Along with that, she is listed as one of Indonesia’s best high school graduation in 2013 and get College Scholarship  from Telkomsel group.

Throughout her college life, Inggrid is involved in Asean Medical Students Association (AMSA) and also a member of Catholic Organization of Airlangga University. She is also represented Airlangga University in some prestigious debate competition such as Airlangga Medical Scientific Week and National Action Event  by UI.

Being a medical student doesn’t stop her passion for keep up to date with the latest international issue. She believes that by joining Harvard-National Model United Nations will encourage not only her but students all over the world because of the benefit for improving public speaking, knowledge, friendship, and especially sense of caring towards each other. It will also change her perspective and way of thinking in solving problems. In order to be equal with other countries delegates, she will train hard and manage her team to bring home the trophies.

Rosalia Jasmine

Rosalia Jasmine, usually called Ocha, was born in Surabaya on 8^th of May 1995.  Ocha, a 19 years-old girl, is a second year undergraduate student at Universitas Airlangga, majoring in International Relations. She is known as a shy girl and a girl who does not talk much. But when you know her better already, she will be opened-up easily and talk often. Other than that, she works hard when it comes to things she puts her passion into. She likes to read novel in her spare time. Her favorite novel genre is young adult or dystopian novel. Beside that, she loves music. She was a keyboardist for a band in her high school. Moreover, her band won numerous band competitions in provincial and national scale.

Ocha loves to explore and try new things. Harvard National Model United Nation is one of the challenges she would like to take. She has never participated any Model United Nations before. But she had her passion for English since she was in elementary school. She has participated in English Speech Competition, which is held by IAIN Sunan Ampel, on 2010. She decided to join HNMUN because she wants to explore her English skill further. She also realized that as an International Relations student, she should have a good negotiation skill that soon will be applied in the real world.

By joining HNMUN, she hopes that she will increase her awareness toward understanding and solving global issues. She also hopes that she can perform her best effort in the conference. She believes that joining HNMUN will increase her confidence and skill in public speaking. She is looking forward to learning about global issues together with other delegates and expanding her network with delegates around the world in HNMUN.
